Our Best Garden Photos of 2013 With a major winter storm under way, I couldn't seem to get motivated to do anything today but look at what I thought were some nice shots I snapped of our garden plots last year. Since I've already done a feature story reviewing our 2013 garden, I'll just share what I thought were some pretty garden photos. My Favorite of the Year My favorite garden shot of the season of some Red Ursa kale leaves came in November, just before I picked the last of our kale. Red Ursa Kale Since large images would take forever to load in ones browser, most of the rest of my picks for this year are shown in reduced size with a larger image available by clicking each photo.
Blossoms, whether flower or vegetable, often make for some nice photos.
A few shots through and around our kitchen windows.
Plants in kitchen There's always lots of color in our garden. Rich brown soil, multi-colored lettuce, zinnias in bloom, and lush green kale are a delight for the eyes.

And now the rest. Some are good shots, and others are just ones I like.
Asparagus
Zinnias and buckwheat Here are a few "product shots," something I've avoided up to this point. The grilling vegetables made me yearn for summer again.
While not "best shots," it seems appropriate to close with photos of our main (backyard) garden plot and our large East Garden.
